Fabra Terms of Use

Last updated: [date of publication]

These terms are an agreement between you and [legal name of the company or person running Fabra] ("Fabra", "we"). By using Fabra you accept them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.

1. The service

Fabra lets you share files with people and teams. Every message is tied to a file. Files and messages are end-to-end encrypted. Fabra can't see them. Files pass through encrypted and are deleted once delivered, unless you save them to your own encrypted Fabra Cloud.

2. Your account

You need a mobile phone number you control, and you must be at least 13 [or the minimum age where you live]. An account is active on one phone at a time; signing in on a new phone signs the old one out. You're responsible for your phone, your two-step verification PIN, and any backup passphrase or recovery key. Because content is end-to-end encrypted, we can't recover your files or messages if you lose your keys.

3. Acceptable use

Don't use Fabra to:

You can block and report people in the app. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, based on reports and on the information we can see.

4. Your content

You own what you share. You give us only the permission we need to store and deliver your encrypted files to the people you choose. We can't read them.

5. Ads

Fabra is free and supported by ads, as described in the Privacy Policy. Ads never appear inside chats or files.

6. Paid plans (Fabra Pro)

[Applies once Fabra Pro is offered.] Subscriptions are bought through Google Play or the App Store and renew automatically until you cancel in your store account settings, at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Payments, cancellations and refunds are handled by the store under its policies. Pro removes ads and adds more cloud storage. If a subscription ends, your cloud files stay available to download for 30 days, after which files above the free amount may be deleted.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep Fabra running, but it's provided "as is", without guarantees that it will always be available or error-free. We may change or end features, with notice in the app for important changes.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for content shared by other users. Keep your own copies of important files. [Liability cap and consumer-law carve-outs to be reviewed for the countries Fabra serves.]

9. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings, then Account, then Delete account.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction, e.g. the US state where the company is registered], except where your local consumer law gives you rights that can't be waived.
